Product Description
This module is designed to operate over multimode fiber systems using a nominal wavelength of 850nm. The electrical interface uses a 38 contact edge type connector.
MVSLINK 40G QSFP+ AOC comes with an Industry Leading Lifetime Warranty, surpassing the OEM warranty for the same product. Every QSFP+ AOC is environmentally tested in its specific port/platform, which includes compliance verification for distance, wavelength, traffic density and light.
Stresses in excess of the absolute maximum ratings can cause permanent damage to the device. These are absolute stress ratings only. Functional operation of the device is not implied at these or any other conditions in excess of those given in the operational sections of the data sheet. Exposure to absolute maximum ratings will cause permanent damage and/or adversely affect device reliability.

Applications
1. Data Center Interconnects
- Rack-to-Rack Connectivity: In data centers, 40G AOCs are commonly used to connect switches, servers, and storage devices within the same or adjacent racks. They offer a flexible and high-bandwidth solution for establishing connections without the need for separate transceivers and fiber cables.
- Top-of-Rack (ToR) to End-of-Row (EoR) Connections: AOCs are ideal for connecting ToR switches to EoR switches in data center environments, providing a reliable, high-speed link that supports 40G data rates.
2. High-Performance Computing (HPC)
- Cluster Interconnects: In HPC environments, where large amounts of data need to be transferred rapidly between nodes, 40G AOCs are used to connect servers and other components within computing clusters. The high data rates and low latency provided by AOCs are crucial for performance-intensive tasks.
- Inter-Server Communication: AOCs facilitate direct connections between servers in HPC setups, ensuring that data can be moved quickly and efficiently within the cluster.
3. Enterprise Networks
- Core Network Upgrades: Enterprises upgrading their network infrastructure to support higher data rates often use 40G AOCs for core network connections. These cables simplify the upgrade process by combining the transceiver and cable into a single unit.
- Campus Networks: In large campus environments, 40G AOCs can be used to connect networking equipment within buildings, providing high-speed links over relatively short distances.
4. Cloud Infrastructure
- Server to Switch Connections: Cloud service providers use 40G AOCs to connect servers to aggregation or core switches within their data centers. This setup supports the high bandwidth demands of cloud applications and services.
- Hybrid Cloud Environments: In hybrid cloud scenarios, 40G AOCs enable high-speed connections between on-premises infrastructure and cloud gateways, ensuring efficient data transfer.
5. Telecommunications Networks
- Mobile Backhaul: In telecommunications networks, 40G AOCs are used in mobile backhaul applications, particularly in small cell deployments where high-speed, short-range connectivity is required.
- Metro and Access Networks: Although more common in data centers, 40G AOCs can also be used in metro and access networks to connect network equipment within central offices or data centers.
Mvslink reisted and established in 2012, headquartered in Suzhou, with research and development laboratories in Shanghai, a production factory in Suzhou, and a sales office in South Korea.
